Jirou Yakuin, a third-year high school student, dreams of being paired with his first love, Shiori Sakurazaka, for his school’s mandatory “Couple Practical.” This unique program requires students to live together in a simulated marriage, proving they can manage daily life with the opposite sex while maintaining harmony under constant video surveillance for grading. However, fate has other plans. Instead of Shiori, Jirou is paired with Watanabe Akari, a lively gyaru who is his complete opposite. Akari, meanwhile, had hoped to be paired with her crush, Minami Tenjin. With both of their wishes crushed — especially when they learn that Shiori and Minami were paired together — Jirou and Akari reluctantly agree to work together to earn a top-ten ranking, which would give them a chance to swap partners if both couples consent. In the process, Jirou accidentally steals Akari’s first kiss during a rushed goodbye… setting the stage for a chaotic and heartwarming romantic comedy.
